Pastor Ben has been a member of Chapel of the Holy Spirit since it was begun in 1986.  He has been a Saint since transferring into St Andrew’s Junior in 1985. Having grown up in church, and experiencing youth ministry under different youth pastors, Pastor Ben himself entered full-time church work as a youth pastor in 2003. He graduated from Trinity Theological College after three years of study and is currently assisting the Vicar in pastoring the Young People’s Ministry.

His interests include reading, writing and, when inspiration strikes, songwriting.  He likes taking difficult things, chewing on them and making them easier for others to understand. Sporting hobbies include badminton and basketball. He enjoys watching football but doesn’t play anymore since injuring his ankles. Unapologetically, he supports Manchester United.

Pastor Ben believes that it is God’s will that every man, woman and child has the opportunity to hear and respond to the Gospel of Christ in this lifetime. He also believes young people are the church of today, not tomorrow and what an awesome responsibility it is that they bear! Hence it is all the more important for young people to accept and receive guidance both from the Lord and those He has placed to watch over their lives.  So Pastor Ben believes that relationships are of utmost importance in ministry.

A husband of one wife, Pastor Ben has three children. His advice to young people looking for boyfriends/girlfriends:

“The question is not whether she is willing to enjoy the breeze with you, but whether she will stand with you during a hurricane.” and vice-versa.
